The only downside is including change which can be more easily picked up by mail thieves. But with only 2 bucks being included within the mailing not so much of a risk. I have heard of the including a fresh dollar bill or some such amount before. It serves to grab the attention. The coins are an interesting wrinkle on the strategy.
